Jindal Power Limited operates thermal and renewable power generation capacity across plants in Tamnar (Chhattisgarh), Shirpur (Maharashtra) and Simhapuri (Andhra Pradesh), selling electricity under long-term power purchase agreements to state distribution utilities. In 2021, Jindal Steel & Power divested a 96.42% stake in Jindal Power to Worldone Private Limited, a promoter-group entity controlled by the Naveen Jindal family, in a deal worth about Rs 12,000 crore, separating the power business from listed JSPL's steel operations.
