DTDC Express, founded by Subhasish Chakraborty in Bengaluru in 1990, pioneered the franchisee-based business model in India's express courier industry and has grown into one of the country's largest domestic courier networks. The company earns revenue from B2B and B2C parcel, document and cargo delivery through its owned and franchised branch network, supplemented by international shipping through its partnership with Geopost/DPDgroup. Abhishek Chakraborty, from the founding family, was appointed CEO in May 2024.
