DeHaat was founded in 2012 by IIT/IIM alumni Shashank Kumar and co-founders to address fragmentation in Indian smallholder farming through a 'full-stack' agritech model. The platform links farmers to agricultural input vendors, agronomic advisory, financing, insurance and market linkages for selling produce, delivered through a hybrid 'phygital' network of over 11,000 DeHaat Centers run by local micro-entrepreneurs. It earns revenue from input sales, produce market linkage commissions, and financial and advisory services layered onto its farmer network, which serves roughly 1.8 million farmers across multiple Indian states.

Documented, per-company risks — grouped by the categories the research itself recorded. There is no risk score here, because we do not compute one.
The full-stack agritech model built around low-margin agri-input distribution and produce aggregation has structurally thin margins, and analysts have questioned whether the model can sustain profitability at scale
