Candidate Lifecycle

A real, computed stage per fund — never a static reference table. Each stage counts every fund that has reached at least that point, so the funnel only narrows.

Normalized2,156A real, deduplicated open-ended product in the market universe — not yet researched.
Researched56Has a real 13-parameter Weighted Score.
IC Review27Has a published analyst/IC Fund Profile write-up.
Approved27Has a real category rank in the Rankings tab.

Stages Not Yet Trackable

The Research Engine v7 brief defines 12 lifecycle stages in total. The 7 below have no real, synced data source yet — named explicitly rather than estimated:

Market (raw)

Collapses into NORMALIZED for reporting purposes — Prospera does not track a fund at the raw scheme/plan/option row level separately from its normalized identity.

Structural Screen

Needs real bulk fundamentals (AUM, track record, portfolio structure) for the full normalized universe — AMFI's NAV file alone doesn't carry these fields for unresearched funds.

Quant Screen

Needs real historical returns/risk data for the full normalized universe — not yet connected.

Research Candidate

Partially real now: research_candidate_claims (the Candidate Claim Tracker) does track a real CLAIMED/IN_PROGRESS state, but it's keyed by scheme_code — a claimed candidate has no fund_id yet, so it lives in a different identity space than this fund_id-keyed lifecycle stage system, not merged in here.

Under Research

Same partial-real gap as Research Candidate — research_candidate_claims' IN_PROGRESS status is the real signal, but keyed by scheme_code, not fund_id.

Rejected

No synced field records a fund as deliberately rejected (distinct from simply not yet researched).

Archived

No synced field records a fund as archived/retired from active coverage.

Where Coverage Stands

Of the 5 categories with a real, computable universe size, Mid Cap has the strongest coverage (10 of 34 researched) and Debt has the widest gap (5 of 365 researched, 360 remaining).

Across every category where the real universe size is computable, 483 genuine, distinct funds remain unresearched — this is the real, honest path toward 100–200+ researched funds, not a target picked in advance.

What's Still Required

Per-sector universe sizing for Pharma & HC, Defence, Infrastructure, Energy: AMFI's public data groups every sector/thematic fund into one shared category — a real per-sector classification source (not name-matching guesswork) is needed before those categories can show a genuine denominator.

Structural and quantitative screening for the 483+ unresearched funds above AMFI's NAV file alone: AMFI publishes identity and NAV, not the portfolio holdings, expense ratios, AUM history, or fund-manager data a real structural/quant screen needs. That screening stays intentionally blocked until a legitimate bulk data source for those fields is connected — nothing here fabricates a screen from data we don't have.

This dashboard reads live from the same synced database every other research surface uses — as more funds are researched and synced, these numbers move with it, in both directions, honestly.
